Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 October 2026. DRAFT — have this reviewed before launch.
Financier Capital Group Pty Ltd ABN 19 149 923 151 trading as Aged Care Bookings ("we", "us") respects your privacy. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
When you make an enquiry, we collect:
- About you: name, phone, email, your relationship to the person needing care, and your contact preferences.
- About the person needing care: preferred suburb or postcode and state, type of place (permanent or respite), when care is needed (and, if relevant, an expected hospital discharge date or respite dates), first name (optional), where they live now, whether they've had a My Aged Care assessment, and any notes you choose to give.
- Health information: some of these details, such as assessment status, hospital stays, care needs, mobility or memory support, are health information, which is "sensitive information" under the Privacy Act. We only collect it with your consent and only what's reasonably needed to check availability.
- Technical information: such as pages visited, device and browser type, the ad or link that brought you to us (e.g. UTM tags), and cookies or similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel if enabled.
Please only give us details about another person if they've agreed, or you're authorised to act for them, and tell them about this policy. Don't include information we haven't asked for, such as Medicare numbers or bank details.
2. How we collect it
Directly from you through our website form, by email and by phone. We may also receive limited information from partner homes, such as whether they were able to contact you, so we can keep records accurate.
3. Why we collect, use and disclose it
- To check availability with partner aged care homes in or near the area you gave, and connect you with them (our primary purpose).
- To email you a copy of your enquiry and phone you to follow up.
- To keep records of which homes received your enquiry, and for billing between us and partner homes. Billing records with homes contain the minimum detail needed.
- To run, secure and improve our website and measure our advertising (using de-identified or technical data only).
- To send optional updates if you ticked the box. You can unsubscribe anytime.
We won't use or disclose your health information for any other purpose unless you consent or the law permits it.
4. Who we share it with
- Partner aged care homes in or near the area you gave, so they can tell you about availability and contact you. With your consent, we share your enquiry details, including health information. Each home handles your information under its own privacy policy. Partner homes pay us a fee when we pass on an enquiry — see How we're paid. We'll tell you which homes received your enquiry.
- Our service providers, who help us operate: website hosting and form handling (Netlify, Inc., USA), email (Zoho), our customer relationship management (CRM) system, and phone and email tools. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
- Advertising platforms (Meta) receive technical information through the Meta Pixel, such as that a page was viewed or a form was submitted. We do not send your form answers or health information to Meta.
- Others where required or authorised by law.
We don't sell your information to list brokers or unrelated marketers.
5. Overseas disclosure
Some service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States (for example, our website and form host). Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps so it's handled consistently with the APPs.
6. Cookies and the Meta Pixel
We may use cookies and the Meta Pixel to understand how our ads perform. You can block cookies in your browser and manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
7. Direct marketing and contact
We'll contact you about your enquiry by email and phone. We'll only send marketing emails if you opt in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. To stop any contact, reply "stop" or email us.
8. Anonymity
You can browse our website without identifying yourself. We can't check availability or connect you with homes without contact details.
9. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and secure, reputable service providers. We keep enquiry records for up to 2 years after our last contact with you (longer only if needed for billing or legal reasons), then delete or de-identify them.
10. Access, correction and withdrawing consent
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to future sharing, by emailing us. Withdrawing consent won't affect information already shared with a home; we'll tell you how to contact that home.
11. Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we'll notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
12. Complaints
Email hello@agedcarebookings.com.au with "Privacy" in the subject. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
